5th Julol-Rosa Gres Chair Drawing Competition
At the Torre de la Creu. inauguration and awards ceremony: October 23 at 7 p.m.
It’s the gaze that’s at stake.
The fifth edition of the Jujol Chair Drawing Competition – Rosa Gres invites participants to discover new ways of looking at Jujol’s work. The proposal consists of exploring his architecture and selecting a work that arouses the personal interest of each student, and then representing it graphically through drawing. This approach not only aims to encourage careful observation and visual analysis, but also to revive Jujol’s gaze from the current sensitivity of those who study it.
The main objective of the Drawing Competition is to promote the study and dissemination of Josep Maria Jujol’s approach, bringing the work of this brilliant architect closer to university students, both national and international.
The competition, organized by the Jujol Chair of the Polytechnic University of Catalonia UPC Barcelona Tech, is sponsored by the ceramics company ROSA GRES, with the collaboration of the Sant Joan Despí City Council.
