The Stone Designs studio is responsible for the comprehensive renovation of this hotel, located in the Sant Joan Despí business park, under the concept of The Artist’s House. The project is directly inspired by Casa Lana, designed by Ettore Sottsass in the 1960s, a manifesto of hybridization of uses, bold color palettes and spatial innovation. The goal: to transfer that creative and nonconformist spirit to the world of contemporary hospitality.

The interiors focus on the use of color as an emotional vehicle and on partial transparency between rooms, through lattices and light partitions that allow a fluid reading of the spaces. This connection between areas recalls the way Sottsass articulated the uses in a flat to maximize functionality and identity. The result is a welcoming and different space, where every corner invites to be experienced.
