Terms and conditions of the Jujol Center Municipal School of Art

All students at the Municipal Art School of the Jujol Centre – Can Negre are subject to these terms and conditions. Exceptions are only valid if agreed in writing.

Definitions
  • Municipal Art School of the Jujol Centre – Can Negre, has its registered office in the Department of Culture of the Sant Joan Despí City Council, which is the public company in charge of the management and operation of the centre.
  • School space: inside the Masia Negre building located in Plaça de Catalunya, s/n, Sant Joan Despí, (Catalonia) including all the areas where artistic activities are carried out and the outdoor space within the fenced area.
  • Students: any person who is registered for one or more of the activities of the Municipal School of Art who uses the Jujol – Can Negre Center website and other online applications regarding registrations and quarterly payments for the activities of the Municipal School of Art.
  • Center staff: any person who works in the cultural space, teaching staff at the Municipal School of Art and who identifies themselves as such.
Admission registrations
  • The Municipal School of Art publishes the prices of its courses through its own channels, on the website, by means of direct communications. The prices listed are not subject to change. The Municipal School of Art of the Jujol Centre – Can Negre is not responsible for the incorrect publication of course prices by third parties.
  • Registration for courses and payment must be made on the website centrejujolcannegre.cat
  • Students will be entitled to a discounted admission fee if they meet the applicable conditions. School staff may request proof of identification for the discounted admission fee. If students are unable to present proof of identification or the proof of identification is invalid, they will be charged the regular admission price for the quarterly activity.
  • Students who have paid for a school term will not be entitled to a refund or any type of compensation if they are unable to attend the classes of the activity they have signed up for. Once paid, it cannot be changed.
  • Due to force majeure that may occur to the teaching staff or students of the center, the sessions will not be made up.
  • Renewals will be made automatically from one period to the next within the school year, charging the corresponding amount to the authorized bank account.
  • Cancellations of any person registered in the Municipal School of Art courses must be communicated to the school’s Secretariat, at the latest, before the last day of the last month of the period prior to which they do not wish to renew. Otherwise, this request will not be processed until the following period.
  • Group changes, once registration has been made, if you wish to make a group change, you must request it from the school’s Secretariat, where its feasibility will be studied and the interested person will be informed before the start of the activity of the group to which you wish to make the change.
Opening hours
  • The Jujol – Can Negre Centre publishes its opening hours through its own channels, on the website, at the entrance to the centre and through direct communications. The Jujol – Can Negre Centre is not responsible for the (incorrect) publication of opening hours by third parties.
  • Part of the classroom space at the Municipal School of Art may be closed to students on certain occasions, due to forces outside the school. This will not entitle students to a refund or to make up for that session.
Inside the classrooms
  • Students must behave in the center’s space, always respecting the instructions of the center’s staff. If this is the case, students may be denied access without the right to a refund of the amount of the term and other expenses incurred.
  • Families or guardians of minor children must complete the collection and image rights authorizations.
  • The school is not responsible for damage, loss or theft of property left by students.
  • The center will not be accessible by scooter or bicycle.
  • Smoking, eating or drinking is not permitted throughout the center.
  • Pets are not allowed, except official guide dogs.
Sales policy
  • Students must register for the course through the website by filling out the form for this purpose on the corresponding registration page.
  • Full payment for the quarterly course is necessary to reserve your place.
  • Payments can be made through our virtual POS using debit/credit cards.
  • Students will not be formally enrolled until they have registered and paid for the course. Once this is done, their registration will be confirmed.
  • In the event of cancellation of the course by the student, once it has started, no amount will be refunded for cancellation.
  • Quarterly payments will be made the first week of October, the first week of January and the first week of April.
  • Students who register once the term has begun will have their first payment made the first week of the month following registration. The remaining payments will be made on the specified dates. If they register mid-term, they must pay the full amount.
  • In the event of a return of the receipt, the student must make the payment by bank transfer or card payment at the center’s reception within a maximum period of 5 days. Otherwise, they will lose their place.

All visitors to the Jujol – Can Negre Centre are subject to these terms and conditions. Exceptions are only valid if agreed in writing.

  • The Jujol – Can Negre Center, corporate name Department of Culture of the Sant Joan Despí City Council, which is the public company in charge of the management and operation of the center.
  • Museum space: Masia Negre building located in Plaça de Catalunya s/n, Sant Joan Despí, (Catalonia) including all areas such as the center shop and the outdoor space within the enclosed area.
  • The visitor: any person who enters the space of the farmhouse to visit it, to visit an exhibition or attend an event or to carry out any of the visits, itineraries, cultural walks organized by the center and the museum shop.
  • Clientele: anyone who uses the Jujol Centre – Can Negre website and other online applications, the sale of online tickets.
  • Center staff: any person who represents the cultural space and identifies themselves as such.
Admission tickets
  • The Jujol – Can Negre Centre publishes the prices of its tickets through its own channels, on the website, at the entrance to the centre and through direct communications.   • Tickets can be purchased at the center’s reception and on the website.
  • The visitor will be entitled to a discounted admission fee if they meet the applicable conditions. The center staff may request proof of identification for the discounted admission fee. If the visitor cannot present proof of identification or the proof of identification is invalid, the regular admission fee will be charged.
  • The person who has purchased a ticket will not be entitled to a refund or any compensation in the event of loss or theft of the ticket. Once the ticket has been purchased, it cannot be returned.
  • The center reserves the right to modify the previously published opening hours without the visitor having the right to a refund of the price paid for the ticket, but they may change the day.
  • Part of the centre’s space may be closed to visitors on certain occasions. This will not entitle you to a refund of the entrance fee. When a substantial part of the centre’s space is closed, there will be a notice on the official website and at the entrance, and a reduced entrance fee will apply.
  • You must arrive 10 minutes before the scheduled visit to the museum in order to check, if necessary, the details of the visitors.
  • You must be punctual for free visits in the time slot chosen to visit the house.

Visits
  • Visitors must behave in all areas of the farmhouse, always respecting the instructions of the staff working at the Jujol – Can Negre Centre. If this is the case, access may be denied without the right to a refund of the entrance fee and other expenses incurred.
  • Families or guardians of minor children, in organized or unorganized groups, are responsible for the behavior of the children.
  • Umbrellas are not allowed inside the center. Umbrella stands are available at the entrance. The Jujol – Can Negre Center does not accept responsibility for damage, loss or theft of property left by visitors.
  • You can enter the museum space with small backpacks or handbags, as long as they are carried at the front. The classification of large or small is at the discretion of the center staff. The center does not accept responsibility for damage, loss or theft of property left by visitors.
  • Center staff may request to inspect a person’s bag before allowing access to the visit for security reasons.
  • Smoking, eating or drinking is not permitted throughout the center.
  • Pets are not allowed, except official guide dogs.
  • People are responsible for the damage they cause.
  • The center will not be accessible by scooter or bicycle.
  • You cannot take photos or record videos with additional lighting and tripods.
Suggestions and complaints

If a person has a suggestion or complaint, there is a form available on the website. Complaints and suggestions can also be sent by email to: cannegre@sjdespi.net
The center will respond to complaints within fifteen working days.

Responsibility and force majeure
  • Visitors may enter the center at their own expense. The center can only be held liable for injury to a person or loss or damage to property if caused by intent or gross negligence on the part of the center. Damage or injury will be covered by the center’s insurer in a reasonable manner. The insured determined by the center’s insurer will never be liable for indirect loss or damage.
  • Deficiencies caused by force majeure can never be attributed to the center and will never give the right to a refund or compensation. Force majeure is a suspensive or resolutory condition of these general conditions.
Privacy
  • The center reserves the right to take photographs and film videos of the center’s spaces as well as the itineraries it carries out outside of it for advertising purposes. People who object to appearing in such photos and videos can inform the center, which will endeavor to prevent the publication of any photograph or video that shows them.
  • The center uses cookies to facilitate the use of our website and to compile a profile of the online behavior of customers. For this reason, the Jujol – Can Negre Center uses a service provided by Google, which may share information with third parties when required by law or to the extent that said third parties process the information on behalf of Google.

The data collected will not be linked to names, addresses, email addresses, etc. There is a right to request access to the data and its rectification or deletion.

  • Customers can subscribe to our online newsletter. The registration data for the newsletter will remain in a database that will only be used by the center and will not be disclosed to third parties. Visitors will be able to access, rectify or delete their personal data themselves through the newsletter. They can also do so by sending a request by email to this effect to: cannegre@sjdespi.net
  • Admission tickets can be purchased on the tickets page of the website. The personal data required to do so is requested during the purchase process and is stored in a database operated by Global Partners. This personal data is used solely by the center to be able to carry out the purchase. People who purchase have the right to access their personal data, rectify it or delete it by submitting a request to this effect to: cannegre@sjdespi.net.
Downtown store

Products can be purchased at the Center’s store. The products on display are sold at the indicated price, which includes VAT.

Items purchased at the Center’s store can be exchanged or returned to the Center in person with the receipt within fourteen days of purchase. Returns are only accepted for manufacturing or sales defects. In these cases, you will receive a non-defective version of the same product. If the product in question is no longer available, it can be exchanged for another product for the same amount or greater than the refund of the purchase price.

Applicable law

Spanish law applies to the general terms and conditions and activities when the situation arises in Spain.

Terms and conditions of the Jujol-Can Negre Center applications When you download or use the application, these will automatically apply to you; therefore, you should make sure to read them carefully before using the application. It is not permitted to copy or modify the application, any part of it or our trademarks in any way. It is not permitted to attempt to extract the source code of the application, nor to attempt to translate the application into other languages ​​or make derivative versions. The application itself, and all trademarks, copyrights, database rights and other intellectual property rights related to it, belong to Jujol – Can Negre Center, which is committed to ensuring that the Jujol – Can Negre Center application is as useful and efficient as possible. For this reason, we reserve the right to make changes to the application or charge for its services, at any time and for any reason. We will never charge for the application or its use services without explaining exactly what you are paying for.

The center application stores and processes personal data that you have provided, in order to provide our service. It is your responsibility to keep your phone and access to the application secure. Therefore, we recommend that you do not jailbreak or root your phone, which is the process of removing program restrictions and limitations imposed by the official operating system of your device. It may make your phone vulnerable to malware/viruses/malicious programs, compromise the security features of your phone and may mean that the center application does not work properly.

Please note that there are certain things for which Centre Jujol – Can Negre is not responsible. Certain functions of the application require the application to have an active internet connection. The connection can be wifi or provided by your mobile network provider, but Centre Jujol – Can Negre cannot assume responsibility for the application not working with all functions if you do not have access to wifi.

If you are using the application outside of a Wi-Fi area, please note that the terms of your agreement with your mobile network provider will still apply. As a result, your mobile provider may charge you for data charges for the duration of your connection while accessing the application, or for other third-party charges. By using the application, you accept responsibility for such charges, including data roaming charges if you use the application outside of your home territory (i.e., region or country) without disabling data roaming . If you are not the person paying the bill for the device on which you are using the application, please note that you are assuming that you have received permission from the bill payer to use the application.

Likewise, the Jujol – Can Negre Center cannot always assume responsibility for the way you use the application, that is, you must ensure that your device is charged, if you run out of battery and cannot turn it on to take advantage of the service, the Jujol – Can Negre Center cannot accept responsibility.

Regarding the responsibility of the Jujol – Can Negre Centre for your use of the application, when using it, it is important to note that, although we strive to ensure that it is updated and correct at all times, we rely on third parties to provide us with information so that we can make it available to you. The Jujol – Can Negre Centre accepts no responsibility for any loss, direct or indirect, that you experience as a result of relying entirely on the functionality of the application.

At some point, we may want to update the application. The application is currently available on Android: the system requirements (and for any additional systems to which we decide to extend the availability of the application) may change, and you will need to download updates if you wish to continue using the application. Jujol – Can Negre Centre does not guarantee that it will always update the application to be relevant to you and/or work with the version of Android that you have installed on your device. However, you agree to always accept updates to the application when offered. We may also want to stop providing the application and we may stop using it at any time without notice to you. Unless we indicate otherwise, to anyone, (a) the rights and licenses granted to you in these terms will terminate; (b) you must stop using the application and (if necessary) delete it from your device.

Changes to these Terms and Conditions. We may update our Terms and Conditions from time to time, so you are encouraged to check this page periodically for changes. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Terms and Conditions on this page. These terms and conditions are effective as of September 2023.
