The Sant Joan Despí City Council, as data controller, guarantees an adequate and consistent level of protection for individuals with regard to their personal data, which is processed by the various municipal services of the City Council, in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (2016/679).

The Sant Joan Despí City Council only processes personal data with full responsibility and loyalty, and in accordance with the legal bases that allow the legality of the processing, according to the General Data Protection Regulation.

With the aim of complying with the General Data Protection Regulation, the Sant Joan Despí City Council will draw up a Register of Processing Activities, adopting appropriate security measures to the objectively assessed and identified risks to the rights and freedoms of the data subjects, which could arise from the processing carried out by the City Council.

The Sant Joan Despí Town Council applies the principle of transparency in the processing of personal data, providing interested parties with concise, easily accessible, complete information in easy-to-understand language and, at the same time, facilitating the exercise of rights through forms.

Likewise, the Sant Joan Despí City Council will appoint a data protection delegate, in accordance with the provisions of article 37.1.a. of the General Data Protection Regulation (2016/679).

The holders of the data processed by the Sant Joan Despí City Council have the right at all times to exercise the right of access to their data, rectification of erroneous or inaccurate data, deletion when, among other reasons, the data is no longer necessary for the purposes for which it was collected, and the portability of the data.

In certain circumstances, interested parties may request the limitation of the processing of their data, in which case they will only be kept for the exercise or defense of claims.

Also for reasons related to their particular situation, interested parties may object to the processing of their data. The Sant Joan Despí City Council will stop processing the data, except for legitimate reasons or for the exercise or defense of possible claims.

7. Origin of personal data.

The personal data processed by the Sant Joan Despí City Council in fulfillment of a mission carried out in the public interest, in the exercise of public powers or in fulfillment of a legal obligation come directly from the interested parties or their representatives, or from other public administrations, in accordance with the legal provisions.

REGISTER OF TREATMENT ACTIVITIES (RAT) – SANT JOAN DESPÍ TOWN COUNCIL

The Sant Joan Despí City Council approved the Processing Activities Register in accordance with Mayoral Resolution number 20190001001689, dated 06/21/2019.

This register has been prepared in compliance with article 30.1 of Regulation (EU) 679/2016 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 27 April 2016 on the protection of natural persons with regard to the processing of personal data and on the free movement of such data (GDPR) and article 31 of Organic Law 3/2018 of 5 December on the protection of personal data and the guarantee of digital rights (LOPDGDD).

In accordance with local regulations, the City Council provides public services linked to its different powers or functions. Any of the activities that contain personal data involves data processing that can be carried out in a non-automated or automated manner, partially or totally. Therefore, this register of processing activities collects information relating to the processing that is the responsibility of the City Council.
